So here I am. Walking away from my house, away from my family, to become the servant of a monster that would undoubtedly kill anyone that tried to stop it. Persuaded by someone I don't even know to do something insane. But somehow I trust him. I don't even know why.
Tim leads me towards a forest. I've seen it a thousand times, but in the dark it seems se eerie and sinister, the black shadows of trees weaving in and out of its crevices and cracks. It's waiting for me. That.....thing is waiting for me there.
Me and Tim weave through the trees. There's no path here. Where are we going? Suddenly we reach a clearing.
"Stand there." says Tim, pointing to a spot near a scrappy bush. I'm too tired to argue.
Inside my head, there are voices. Tim stands alert. Can he hear them too?
Let us begin...
Tim slides the plastic mask down off his head and over his face.
It's worse than my dreams. I feel dizzy, and I think I'm going to vomit. I'm shivering in the cold night air. I can't move. It.....Slenderman.......emerges from the woods.
You will be fine, child.
It----he----touches a tentacle to my forehead. It briefly burns, and starts to bleed. He draws it away.
What is your name, child?
"(y/n)" I stammer.
That name is mine now, child. Masked, what shall we call her?
"V-Valkyrie......because...she is hidden...." says Tim in a cold voice.
Valkyrie. The angel of death. Perfect.
It is done.
It---he---slithers back into the dark woods. Tim beckons to me with his hand, and I follow. I'm too tired to disobey. The spot on my forehead is dripping blood. Tim wipes it off of my face with his sleeve before I can do it myself. The deep red stain looks almost...normal on his orange cuff.
What have I done? I can't help it now. I start crying now, blubbing like a baby. Tim holds me close as we walk through the woods.
When we come out of the woods, (y/n) is clutching my shoulder tightly and crying quietly. The door of the house opens with a loud creak. As I guide (y/n) through the passageway, she collapses in a sobbing heap.I pick her up and carry her to the couch.
"Shhhhh....." I say. smoothing her beautiful hair out of her eyes.
"It's gonna be okay...;."
Yes, I thought, everything will be fine....
